PROMOTION POSTER
INPUT CREATIVE STUDIO

I feel the matt colours of the background and container feature helps the colours and textures of there salad leaves and other food stuffs stand out. The layout of the poster also help enhance the detail as well as making it understandable to the viewer.

POSTER DESIGN FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF THE ART'S SENIOR ILLUSTRATION THESIS SHOW OF 2012 IN PHILADELPHIA.

SIOBHAN GALLAGHER

The bold colours, shape and texture really make each individual bird illustration pop. The layout also brings order to a quite chaotic range, making it very intriguing.

QUALITY OF MESSAGE.
TYPOGRAPHY CAN UNLOCK DOORS.

VECTOR HUGO

Even though I'm not entirely sure on what the concept is behind this piece the way in with a very recognisable letter from is transformed in to a very simple yet recognisable symbol is clever especially how the two separate things are un-related.

BRING ON THE NIGHT

RIZON PAREIN

I love how the image and type are combined to express the text displayed. as you read the tube-light type you get a real sense of confidence and expectation.

THE SUMMIT

The simplicity of the layout and blunt yet clever implication gives this peace its strength. The limited colour scheme and use of stock also makes this piece very vivid, emphasising the message with in.

GIFT WRAPPING IDEAS

I really like how there are many messages that this concept can carry. It is a very good use of a familiar and popular pass-time game mixed with the idea of wrapping various presents has been executed with great simplicity with an added humour.

 SHAWL MUSEUM

VOVA LIFANOV

I love the vividness and clean accuracy of these designs. These are products relating and promoting a Museum of shawls based in Russia. In this sense the designs produced are very context and concept based and are very eye-catching and intriguing. There are many components to this product and even though any of the shawl designs differ slightly in colours and textures, the shapes and layout keep each piece consistent.

HOMEMADE IS THE BEST

EVELINA BRATELL & CARL KLEINER
FOR IKEA

This wonderful selection of food based shapes is from a cookbook created for IKEA. I love how th concept of an everyday cookery book has been created in a completely differently. It has brought chaos to the ingredients recopies have to follow. the geometric shapes are very clean and precise and the neutral background colours help to enhance this. Even though each recipe display differs according to components the concept and use of simple shape keep them all consistent with each other.

CITYSCAPE DECKS

BORJA BONAQUE

These designs are very simple with limited shapes and colours, however this is what helps the run smoothly as a series of works. Even though each skyline is different this mirrors the feeling you get looking at different view points when in larger cities.

CRADLE

VICTORIA UNIVERSITY

IMAGE - http://design-milk.com/cradle/

I fee that the use of a material that is so hard in texture and structure to create such a soft and smooth shape piece of furniture is very aesthetically pleasing. This also plays somewhat with the feeling in comfort you get from the appearance of this chair. The curved and straight lines created through the wood gives the look of great preciseness as well as great professional execution.

SCULPTURAL CHAIRS

 ANDVICEVERSA

The clenliness and sharpness this piece exudes is very appealing. The use of shapes and materials leaves the impression of ice or crystal. Because of this accuracy of execution this peace of furniture is very aesthetically pleasing and draws you in to find out more about what this strange shape may contain.

BOOKWORM

CASSIA BECK

The use of stiff material along with sharpness of image works very effectively here. There is a great contrast between the soft concept of a furniture cushion and the hard block feel the stacked books give off.

GRAVITY

ZIIIRO

the clean lines and shapes that make up this object are very visually appealing. The workings and visual mechanisms displayed on this watch design are very different from the tradition items. The use of black along with other vivid colours enhances the shape and futuristic feel this item has.

STAND OUT

This design can be seen as a piece of architecture as well as a piece of photography. In either sense This building is very eye-catching in the way it stands out against the drab, everyday brick buildings made-up from the surrounding buildings. The elaborateness of the old-style building looks almost gothic were as the gold accents gives a great sense of wealth.

BALOON LAMP

 GRÉGOIRE DE LAFFOREST

IMAGE - http://design-milk.com/a-lamp-that-you-pump-up-olab-by-gregoire-de-lafforest/#more-126267

I like the implied message this light fixing gives. The concept is created so the viewer perceives this light differently seeing it as a balloon type object that get pumped up when the switch mechanism is squeezed.

TECIDO PLATTER

GONÇALO CAMPOS

I really like the illation this pottery product gives. the way in which a hard yet quite delicate material is used to interpret and whole different cloth material is very clever. It almost gives a sense that the items placed on this ceramic piece are floating as if weightlessness. This gives a very different meaning to the everyday plate.

BOTTLEWARE

NENDO / COKE-COLA

The influence behind these certain products is a very environmentally sound one. The fact that these bowls have been created by a very recognisable and popular soft drinks bottle.

KEY HANGER

FELIX GRAUER

IMAGES - http://www.felixgrauer.de/2012/09/30/combine-your-keys/

I feel that this product can bring back a lot of memories to adults through the relate ability  of these very popular toys. It almost gives a grown up a hint of fun in their busy grown up lives. The way in which the product stays with you on your keys is a very clover use of the toy.

IM NOT A PAPER CUP

I like the sense of confidence this otherwise emotionless, innate object proceeds through the choice of language used on the packaging. Even though the object is very plain in appearance the message given off is very strong using the important issue of the environment and waist.

DUSTY DIAMONDS

ANNA ELZER OSCARSON.

Even though shapes and colours in this pottery collection vary through out the geometric cut-out shaped texture that coves each component keeps them consistent and familiar to the collection. The colours used on the ceramics compliment each other nicely giving a consistent colour scheme.

LTD EDITIONS 2011

JANE GOWANS.

Every shape of ring in this collection are very different to each other. However because they follow the same principles in shape and texture they remain consistent. The varied designs allow the consumer to have a choice of ring that is familiar to the collection yet is totally unique.

This stylised architecture is very modern and different to the standard block shaped building around today. The use of dips and curves give the effect of a rippling wave giving this building a very unique quality that is very appealing. The consistency in the textures and shapes made up by the panelled walls, balconies and windows gives a very symmetrical feel.

LAND OF GIANTS

CHOI & ARCHITECTS.

IMAGES - http://www.dezeen.com/2010/08/13/land-of-giants-by-choi-shine-architects/

I really like the re-inturpritation of a man-made landscape object. Electric pylons are known for looking ugly and having a negative impact on the view of many landscapes. However these new designs give these inanimate objects almost a personality and emotion.

SOIL CUTLERY

VLADIMIR RACHEV

IMAGES - http://mocoloco.com/archives/012697.php

This range of cutlery is to remind the user of the origins of the food they eat. I think it is fantastic how even though they very much look as if they are pieces of cutlery, each component is still very recognisable when it comes to garden tool. even though they all differ in shape they still remain very familiar yet charming.
