I found this typeface interesting firstly because it in monochrome and we have to stick to this constraint and secondly because of the way it is made up of simple shapes. because of the individual shapes, the whole letterform looks bold but simple which is something that i was hoping to get while designing a typeface to suit my partner.

I like this piece because of its simplicity. Because the letterform is a 3D type print it leaves dark space that could be utilised. I also like how the image is quite imperfect due to the water blotches and how even though the images is monochrome it gives the paint a kind of texture.

The top letterform is very interesting because of the calligraphic accents. I like the hashed background aspect of this style and believe this is a good way of getting texture when not working in colour.

The bottom letterform is strong and bold in shape swell as colour. I think it is quite possible for me to experiment with 3D typefaces because this gives added shapes to work with.

The shapes and colours of this design display the type of I think that Sam is into. The mix of small yet bold shapes along with the strong colours. even though this type is quite complex, the writting is just about legible.

I love this style of typography because I haven't sen anything like it before. The was in which the optical illusion is presented give the word written a whole new depth.

The detail of the small steps and added shading helps o enhance the drawing and this is sonething that Sam said he enjoyed to do. Even though this is a beautiful bit of type i think it would only work as a one of type of poster or a heading and would not be appropriate on a wider scale of use.

I like this type because of its different approach to creating the letterform using what surrounds the letter to create the shape rather than using the letter shape itself.

I like how the use of one small and simple characteristic of a bike can be so recognisable when displayed through a typeface in this way.
