DESIGN FOR PRINT / OUGD504
BOOK BINDING.
LIBRARY BOOKS.

While looking in the library for information of packaging, form and function, this book in particular 'Pushing the Boundries' had a section dedicated to binding techniques.

I like the screw and post binding technique as it may go well with the hands-on constructional type feel I am going for.

I have done side stitch binding before so I feel i would like to try something new. The tape binding looks like a simple and relatively hassles method of binding that may be helpful when binding my own book.

Im not overly fond of spiral binding as it reminds me of cheap note books, how ever i do like the way in which I has been hidden by the overlapping cover.

BOX NETS

I have used this type of box before and the do work very well in keeping the contents secure however i am looking for something i have not tried before.

I really like the look of this type of box and how the opening mechanism looks asif it is revealing the inside like a gift.
