I lie the colour scheme used here as it reflects the logo/icon that is representing the product and what the products influences are. I have used white foil before and I think using light coloured foils over darker stocks is very effective as it not possible to do this with some of the more poplar methods that use ink.

ALL YOU NEED
SINNES
I like how the foil used in this design eventuates the simple design shown. Because the foil gives a luxurious feel on its own it means that there is no need for another added colour or decoration. I think this foiled type had been applied through a hot stumpy press that may also use a die to emboss or de-boss the letter as well as applying foil.

ANGUAS POSTER

KEVIN CANTRELL

I would really love to try and experiment with different types of foil such as the one used in the image above. i really like how the surrounding imagery and text has been left and a monochrome accompaniment so as the foil has centre stage to the appearance. I also like the fact that the type is 3d and i think that this aids the effect of the foil more that what it would be if the type was 2d.

GOLDEN DAWN
ERUPT PRINTS
Im not quite sure how this foil has been applied. Either the black background is the substrate colour or it has been printed one previously. Usually foil (especially metallic foil) id used as a small decoration, enhancement finish, however here It takes up a large amount of the design and is used as an integral part of the image rather than a finish.
