PACKAGING PROGRESS.
TISSUE FOILING.
Because i had found away to digital print on to tissue paper. I thought about whether or not this would then let me foil onto the laser print logo.
I want to add foil because the out side of the bottle is to look appealing, luxurious and attractive in order to gain attention from the consumer. I also wanted to use white tissue paper because this represents cleanliness and purity. manipulation used when hiding the true effects and consequences given through the abuse of alcohol.
This way the white and gold exterior hides the off putting reality underneath.
I printed on the the a3 sheet of tissue paper by attaching it to a sheet.
I then placed the foil over the top of this fresh pint and placed it underneath the heat press.
The edges of the foil rolled up slightly on the edges but this diet take away the look I was aiming for i tried to over come this little issue by sticking the foil to the tissue before placing it under the heat, but this just ripped the paper.
Im really happy with this method and to know it is actually possible to foil on tissue paper is something that may aid me for other projects in the future.
